ARLINGTON, Va. – October 4, 2022 – LMO, a full-service marketing and communications agency, is pleased to welcome Karen Laughlin as its new chief executive officer.
Laughlin comes to LMO with marketing and advertising experience on both the client and agency sides of the business. With digital marketing expertise and a heavy market research background, she has a proven track record of delivering on KPIs, growing programs and turning data points into actionable strategies.
Laughlin returns to LMO full-time after a brief hiatus. During her time with LMO from 2004 to 2016, she produced comprehensive digital advertising programs, marketing strategies and creative campaigns for clients such as Avis Budget Group, Army National Guard, WMATA/Metro and Chevy Chase Bank.
“I’m excited to begin a new chapter at LMO with even more innovative projects and client success,” says Laughlin. “As CEO, I’m dedicating my time to expanding the agency’s offerings and talent, which will benefit our current and future clients. My goal is to help our clients and employees continue to thrive.”
With Laughlin rejoining the agency, LMO now qualifies for Women-Owned Small Business federal contracts.
“This classification opens new doors for us,” states Laughlin. “It keeps the agency competitive, allowing us access to business opportunities we could not compete for in the past.”
LMO clients can expect the same personalized, agency-partner experience they have come to expect. Former CEO Chris Laughlin will transition to the role of agency president.
Founded under the principle of people first, LMO understands its clients’ audiences better than anybody. The agency’s process begins with getting to know and understand clients, then creating the best solutions to their biggest challenges.
The company has also unveiled a new website. “I love the simplicity of the new LMO website, and I love its truthfulness,” shares Laughlin. “The site’s content gets to the core of what we’ve been doing since our founding – putting people first.”
Laughlin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
