We currently have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Media Planner/Buyer in our Arlington, VA office. This position can be remote work and/or hybrid work.
Job responsibilities include:
Develop and execute omni-channel media plans best suited to meet established client requirements, budgets, and objectives
Execute media plans and buying responsibilities on all types of media, including traditional and digital, as required by client needs
Conduct media, industry or company research to allow the agency to develop accurate and strategic advertising and marketing plans
Be the day-to-day contact for media vendors and aid in the management of general media department solicitations
Issue Insertion Orders for each approved media tactic
Establish specifications and deadlines for needed materials and report these to the Creative, Production and Account Management departments or groups
Oversee the timely placement of all media according to schedules
Ensure media schedules in media tracking and billing systems have been entered correctly
Verify and approve all media invoices to be processed by Accounting for payment
Conduct buying, negotiating, implementation, optimization, and tracking analysis against established Key Performance Indicators for digital marketing
Meet with internal and external Account Service teams and clients to present schedules or discuss media-related issues·
Maintain updated media orders (cancellations, changes, etc.) and distribute updated orders
Provide continuous campaign analysis and optimizations and prepare and present client-facing reports
Alert Media Supervisors and Account Management points of contact of any value-add placement opportunities
Research and compile agency Point-of-Views (POVs) to clients on new media opportunities
Consistently seek new opportunities within digital in order to stay ahead of the curve, enhance individual/team/client learning, and improve client campaigns
Develop, mentor and train Associate Media Planners and Media Coordinators
You’re the right person for our team if you have:
Bachelor’s degree (Communication, Marketing or Advertising a plus)
2-4 years planning and buying digital media campaigns; integrated or offline media experience a plus
Excellent financial skills and the ability to manage large budgets
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Clear understanding of the media planning and buying process (digital or omni-channel preferred)
Understanding and experience with ad servers, preferably Google Campaign Manager
Proficiency with media and research tools (FreeWheel STRATA, MRI-Simmons, Scarborough, eMarketer, etc.)
You’ll impress us even more if you have:
Google Analytics and or Google Ads certifications
Hands-on experience with paid social media (Facebook and Instagram) and paid search (Google and Bing)
Experience with integrated campaign dashboard technology (Tapclicks, Datorama, Google Data Studio)
A willingness to learn and grow your skill set beyond your day-to-day tasks
